On October 16, 2012, Governor Patrick and key industry leaders convened to launch the Mass HIway at the Golden Spike event at Massachusetts General Hospital's Ether Dome. The Mass HIway officially opened for business with Governor Patrick and his physician sending the Governor's healthcare record from Massachusetts General to Baystate Medical Center.
