The Mass HIway supports providers in connecting and using Health Information Exchange (HIE) and the Mass HIway. This support includes account management, HAUS Services, attestation support and other consulting services provided by our HIway Account Management team:
- The HIway Account Managers are available as a project resource to evaluate your organization's HIE readiness, and to assist in implementing HIE technology, and developing use cases and workflows that enable your staff to electronically exchange information with other organizations.
The Mass HIway also supports providers via outreach and education, which is presented by our Outreach and Education team:
- The Outreach and Education staff collaborates with the Account Managers to provide HIE information and education online and through workshops and webinars. This activity focuses on enabling providers in the utilization of HIE and the Mass HIway, and includes change management and process improvement education.
All Massachusetts based providers can take advantage of this HIE support, regardless of whether your organization decides to use the Mass HIway. Our team is here to help you establish effective HIE solutions to promote the electronic exchange of health information.
Meet the HIway Account Managers
The HIway Account Managers enable healthcare organizations to incorporate Health Information Exchange (HIE) into their care coordination processes. If the Mass HIway is selected as the HISP for the Direct Messaging implementation, they assist providers with enrollment and onboarding onto the Mass HIway.
Through the HAUS Services program, the Account Managers assist organizations in the design and implementation of HIE Use Cases. This includes identifying HIE Use Case goals, assessing technical connectivity requirements and gaps, developing an HIE solution, creating workflow and project plans, and assisting in project management for every step of the process.
